Tragic drowning incident claims lives of three youths

NAGAON, Aug 16: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded as three young individuals hailing from the Teliapatty area in the town lost their lives by drowning in Hadhadi waterfall situated at Lungsung under the jurisdiction of Samaguri police station on Tuesday.

According to sources from Samaguri police, the victims, identified as Nitin Rajak, Dinesh Shah, and Saddam, had visited the waterfall along with a group of companions to celebrate Independence Day and indulge in bathing in the falls. Tragically, amidst their venture, these three youths went missing. Promptly informed, the local Samaguri police and SDRF personnel swiftly arrived at the scene and successfully recovered the bodies of the unfortunate victims.

Reports indicate that some local individuals had cautioned them against bathing in the waterfall due to potential risks. However, disregarding their warnings, the group of youths proceeded with their plan. This unfortunate decision resulted in the tragic loss of three lives.
