JAGIROAD, April 18: The Morigaon district administration in collaboration with the District Hajj Committee on Thursday organised a training programme for Muslims, who will embark on their pilgrimage to Mecca from the district this year at the premises of Bar Mosque in Mori Muslim village in the district.
District commissioner Devashish Sharma first greeted the pilgrims. He urged the pilgrims to take precautions to avoid any inconvenience at the airport. He said many times pilgrims are separated from their groups in the crowds. Therefore, he urged everyone to be cautious in this regard.
“Many people may have language problems at the airport. The people should not be discouraged and explain the situation to the other side in their own language and face the situation calmly with the help of others. All Hajj pilgrims should carry their passports and mobile phones in a bag that can be hung around their necks. They should not get discouraged and cooperate with the security forces even if they encounter any unexpected situation at the airport,” said Devashish Sharma.
The meeting was attended by the office bearers of the District Hajj Committee and the Hajj pilgrims.
