Two drug peddlers arrested with 60 grams of heroin by Jagiroad Police

JAGIROAD, July 18: In a continued crackdown on the drug menace in the state, Jagiroad Police on Friday arrested two drug peddlers and seized approximately 60 grams of heroin from their possession.

The duo was apprehended at a police check post along National Highway 27 while traveling in a four-wheeler (registration number AS 23 Q 1763) from Nagaon to Guwahati.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Azizul Rahman of Hojai and Moksidul Momin of Nagaon.

Police said an investigation into the incident is underway.
