Woman found dead in Dima Hasao

HAMREN, Dec 26: A woman from Langmeklu Sarthe Inti village under Umrangso police station in Dima Hasao was found hanging from a tree in Hamren’s remote forest.

The woman was identified as Kania Terang (22).

The victim’s family alleged that she was physically tortured before being hanged and urged for a thorough investigation and justice.

Preliminary reports suggest that Kania was abducted from her village on December 22 between 10 and 11 pm.

The body has been sent to Haflong for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are investigating the case, while the family and locals demand swift action to uncover the truth.
