WWF India donates vehicles to Karbi Anglong forest department

DIPHU, June 27: The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) – India donated three vehicles to the Forest Department of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong for the purpose of wildlife patrolling. The vehicles were flagged off by chief executive member (CEM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang, at the CEM Bungalow on Thursday morning.

The Bolero Camper vehicles were given to the Dokmoka Range, Silonijan Range of East Forest Division, and Hamren Division.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by executive members (EMs) D Uphing Maslai and Ritesh Enghi, Members of the Autonomous Council (MACs) Avijit Kro and Phenpiga Rengma, MLA Bidyasing Engleng, senior project officer of WWF – India, Trideep Sarmah, senior landscape coordinator Dr Pranab Jyoti Bora, and forest officials.
