GUWAHATI, July 14:
Seagram’s Blenders Pride Reserve Collection, the most premium Indian whisky from the esteemed Blenders Pride house, has reached a significant milestone by selling over 1 million cases in a year (July 2022 to June 2023). It has become the first brand in its price segment within the top-end of the Indian whisky category to achieve this feat, securing its position as the third-largest brand in the category. Impressively, the annual sales of Blenders Pride Reserve Collection have experienced a remarkable 30 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years.
The discerning nature of today’s young consumers, who seek more refined experiences, has driven a growing trend of premiumisation in whiskies. Blenders Pride Reserve Collection perfectly embodies this trend, outpacing the growth of the ‘Indian Premium Whisky’ category as well as other brands in its price segment, as confirmed by the IWSR 2022 report. Accounting for over 11 percent of the Blenders Pride portfolio’s volume, it has become the go-to Indian whisky brand for those seeking an elevated taste profile.
Commenting on this milestone, Kartik Mohindra, chief marketing officer of Pernod Ricard India, said, “Blenders Pride Reserve Collection has set a new benchmark for success, becoming the third-largest brand in the Indian Premium whisky category. Its impressive growth confirms that discerning Indian consumers prefer its smooth and indulgent taste, making it the brand of choice for those seeking the finest Indian whisky experience.” He added, “India is the largest whisky market in the world, and the premium whisky category continues to be highly aspirational.”
