GUWAHATI, Dec 30: As the city prepares to welcome 2026, Novotel Guwahati GS Road has announced what it describes as the city’s largest curated in-house New Year celebration, offering multiple, clearly defined experiences under one roof.

Unlike single-format parties, the hotel has designed its New Year programme to cater to varied preferences—ranging from a relaxed family dinner to a high-energy countdown, a rooftop celebration, and a leisurely New Year brunch—allowing guests to choose without moving across different venues in the city.

On December 31, the hotel will host three parallel experiences across its signature outlets.

At The Square, its all-day dining restaurant, a refined New Year’s Eve buffet with a curated global spread and live music will be offered from 8 pm to midnight, positioned for families and guests seeking a calm and elegant setting.

The buffet is priced at ₹2,000 plus taxes, with beverages available à la carte and an optional liquor add-on.

For those looking for a livelier atmosphere, 188 Downtown will host a grand celebration featuring an elaborate buffet, customised beverages, live music and a DJ-led countdown.

The high-energy experience will run from 8 pm to midnight and is priced at ₹3,999 plus taxes.

The hotel’s rooftop venue, Skye, will offer a midnight countdown under the stars with a live band, handcrafted cocktails and finger food, set against panoramic city views.

The rooftop celebration is priced at ₹2,999 plus taxes and will also run from 8 pm to midnight.

Celebrations will continue on January 1 with Aarambh – The Grand New Year Brunch, a single brunch experience spread across all three outlets.

The Square will focus on Indian cuisine with regional specialities, while 188 Downtown will feature global flavours in an alfresco-style setting. Skye will host live grill counters, seafood, signature meats and DJ-led music in a poolside brunch atmosphere.

The brunch is priced at ₹2,599++ for the non-alcoholic package and ₹3,999++ for the alcoholic package, with access to all three outlets.

Speaking about the initiative, Vineet Kumar Mishra, general manager of the hotel, said the approach was shaped by evolving guest preferences.

“Some guests prefer a quiet dinner, others enjoy music and energy, while many look forward to a relaxed brunch the next day. Instead of a single large party, we have structured distinct experiences within the hotel so guests can choose what suits them best, while enjoying consistent standards of food, service and safety,” he said.

With this format, the hotel aims to position itself as a one-stop New Year destination for families, working professionals and groups seeking choice, comfort and well-defined experiences.
