Assam: Guwahati rattled by another cold blooded murder, husband kills wife over illicit affair

Guwahati, April 6: A horrifying event took place in Guwahati’s Jyotikuchi area on Saturday, where a man was charged with the murder of his wife and mutilation of her body.

The incident occurred in the Dhopoli area of the Jyotikuchi region near Barsapara. The accused, Lakshman Biswas, was apprehended by Fatasil Police while attempting to disperse the body parts. The victim was identified as Dipali Poddar.

Upon interrogation, Biswas confessed to the crime, citing an alleged extra-marital affair of his wife as the motive.

Fatasil Police have arrested Biswas on charges of murder and he is currently under legal processing. Further details are pending.
