GUWAHATI, Nov 26: The Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, North Garo Hills, Resubelpara has passed a judgement recently ordering conviction of the accused Tapon R Marak for his alleged involvement in the act of assault and outraging the modesty of a woman. The accused was convicted U/S 354/354B/323 IPC for disrobing, assault and outraging the modesty of a woman for which he was convicted to undergo five (5) years of simple imprisonment.
The matter was reported at Resubelpara Police Station on February 20, 2019 for his alleged involvement in the above mentioned case and registered vide Resubelpara PS C/No. 06(02)2019.
