ITANAGAR, April 25: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.), has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the State, with special wishes to the Tangsa community, on the auspicious occasion of Moh-Mol.
In his message, the Governor expressed hope that the festival brings peace, harmony, and prosperity to every corner of Arunachal Pradesh.
Highlighting the cultural and seasonal significance of the festival, the Governor stated, “Moh-Mol, deeply rooted in the rhythms of agriculture, marks the beginning of the sowing season — a time of hope, renewal, and gratitude. It is not just a celebration of crops and seasons, but also a profound expression of the Tangsa community’s vibrant culture, cherished values, and deep bond with nature.”
He lauded the Tangsa community for their steadfast commitment to preserving their ancestral traditions. “It is truly heartening to see our Tangsa brethren maintaining their customs with pride and passing them on lovingly from one generation to the next. Celebrations like Moh-Mol serve as living lessons, inspiring the younger generation to uphold and celebrate their rich cultural heritage with dignity and devotion,” he said.
“On this joyous occasion, I join the Tangsa community in offering prayers for a bountiful harvest, enduring peace, and a spirit of goodwill among all communities,” the Governor concluded.
