Guwahati, April 26: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts light to moderate rainfall in northeastern states over the next five days. Despite the hot and humid weather across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, rainfall is expected in some areas.
The cyclonic circulation over Assam and other northeastern states remains at 1.5 km above mean sea level.
The day-wise forecast is as follows:
Day 1: light to moderate rain likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya with isolated showers in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
Day 2: rain likely in many areas of Arunachal Pradesh and a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
Day 3: light to moderate rain likely in most places of Arunachal Pradesh and many areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
Day 4, similar conditions as Day 3.
Day 5, light to moderate rain expected in most places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and many places over Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
