IMPHAL, Nov 12 (NNN): Manipur on Friday recorded a surge in the Covid-19 active caseload as no person discharged against a fresh case reported in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest bulletin of the State Health department, the active caseload of Covid-19 in the State rose to 12. It was 11 on the previous day.
The single fresh case was detected upon testing of 122 samples and the test positivity rate of the day was 0.8%. The case was detected in Imphal East district.

Adding the latest case, the overall Covid-19 infection count in the State touched 1,39,899 even as the overall fatality count stood at 2,149 with no pandemic-related death reported from any part of the State in the last 24 hours.
As no infected person was discharged upon recovery on the day, the recovery tally of the State stood at 1,37,735.
Meanwhile, the cumulative doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in the State rose to 32,58,669 with 325 more people being inoculated on Thursday.
The number of people who got the first dose of the vaccine in the State rose to 16,47,843 while those who got the second dose to 13,34,881. As many as 2,75,945 people have also received the precautionary dose of the vaccine, the Health department said.
