3rd Bhim Ray Memorial Knock Out Cricket Tournament 2024 Kicks Off

DIPHU, May 6: The 3rd edition of the Bhim Ray Memorial Knock Out Cricket Tournament 2024 kicked off at Rangapahar, Saiding Playground in Dhansiri, Karbi Anglong, Assam on Sunday.

The tournament has been organised by Dhansiri Cricket Club and sponsored by Gayatri Kandha Ray, wife of Late Bhim Ray. On the opening day, Saiding Sports Team (SST) won against Dhansiri Cricket Club.

Gayatri Kandha Ray mentioned that the cricket Knockout tournament was organised in memory of her husband to encourage young players to participate in sports activities, as he was a good cricketer who loved playing and encouraging young players.

Gayatri informed that 14 teams including those from Diphu, Nagaland and Guwahati participated in the tournament. The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh.
