Concord – Joint Sports Meet Gets Underway

GUWAHATI, Aug 5: The 4th edition of Concord – Joint Sports Meet, an initiative of the Dimasa Students’ Community, Guwahati (DSCG); in collaboration with Zeme Students’ Union Guwahati (ZeSUG) and Greater Guwahati Karbi Students’ Association (GGKSA) was kicked off at Farm Gate Campus Playground, Khanapara here on Friday.

Celebrating the brotherhood, the two-day event is being organised to bring unity among the three of Hills’ Tribes of North-Eastern India.

The joint sports meet was graced by Minister of Power, Cooperation, Mines & Minerals, Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Culture Department Nandita Gorlosa as the chief guest and general secretary of Assam Sepak Takraw Association Bishnuram Nunisa as guest of honour.

The sports meet will be played between four houses (Green, White, Red, Blue) consisting of students from all the three communities involved in the program.

The 4th Concord joint Sports meet includes Sports & games like – Football, Cricket, Kho kho, Short Put, Kabaddi, Volleyball etc.
