TOPCEM-ASJA Media Cricket: Media Management In Final

GUWAHATI, March 17: Media Management won the inaugural match of the TOPCEM-ASJA Inter-Media T20 Cricket Championships against Doordarshan Kendra (DD) Assam by 30 runs at the Nehru Stadium, Guwahati on Thursday.

Media Management posted 166/2 in 20 overs after they decided to bat.

Abuddin Khan (60 off 47) and Jagjit Singh (57 not out) spearheaded the Media Management innings.
Pradeep Kumar Adey of DD Assam took both the wickets conceding 32 runs.

In reply, DD Assam could manage 136 losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Sanjay Basfor scored 38 while Nabajyoti Talukdar contributed 35 runs.

For Media Management, Monoj Duwarah picked up 4 wickets for 26 runs. Naba Jyoti Gohain took two.
Abuddin was named man of the match. With this win Media Management booked their berth for the final.

There is no match scheduled for Friday. On Saturday, host ASJA will play against Guwahati Press Club.
Earlier on Thursday, former Ranji players Javed Zaman and Mukut Das, sports organiser Bishnuram Nunisa and ASJA president Subodh Malla Barua were present during the inaugural session.

The final of the tournament will be held on Saturday.
