KOKRAJHAR, May 25: A review meeting on computerisation of land records of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) was held on Wednesday at the conference hall of Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly (BTCLA) in Kokrajhar.
In the meeting, secretary of BTC Land Records & Disaster Management Naren Chandra Basumatary; director of BTC for Land Records and Survey Dhiraj Saud; BTC joint secretary Wilburn Daimary, all circle officers from five districts of Bodoland Territorial Region attended the review meeting which was chaired by BTR executive member for Land revenue & Records Ranjit Basumatary.
The meeting had an in-depth colloquy regarding computerisation of land records of BTR districts and the meeting has decided to expedite computerisation of land records with immediate effect across the region.
The review meeting has resolved a resolution to immediately carry out the survey of non-cadastral (NC) villages with the help of drones which are to be completed without further delay.
The discussion was also held about the matter of launching the SWAMITVA scheme; the construction of Asom Mala road from Kokrajhar to Rupsi Airport & other Asom Mala roads; land acquisition for construction of NH and preparedness of disaster, etc., in Bodoland Territorial Region districts.
BTR executive member Basumatary asked the circle officers to take responsibility for land negotiation of land value and acquisition; computerisation of land records and survey of non-cadastral (NC).
He said that the BTR government has been putting stress on the completion of the computerisation of land records across the region without any delay.
