A Raijor Dal functionary informed that among the new members were several people from different political parties, including Barshashree Buragohain, who was an undergraduate student at a college in Jorhat. Buragohain was arrested by the police in 2022 on charges of writing a poem supporting a banned extremist outfit and posting it on a social media platform.
