DEMOW, July 2: Due to incessant rains, approximately 27 villages under Demow revenue circle were affected by floods this time. When contacted on Tuesday, Demow circle officer Pritam Das provided an update on the flood situation, confirming the impact on these villages to this correspondent. Relief efforts have been underway, with distributions of rice, pulses, and salt to assist those affected. The areas of Dehing Kal Ghar and Barpathar under Demow revenue circle were particularly hard hit by the floods, necessitating the distribution of fodder for cattle as well.
