Teachers’ workshop concludes at Gyan Bharati Public School

BISWANATH CHARIALI, July 30: A two-day teachers’ workshop was held at Gyan Bharati Public School, Sootea, on Monday and Tuesday. The workshop focused on topics such as ‘The Essence of Science Education: Let Us Learn Through Fun’, ‘Joyful Mathematics: Ethics and Integrity’, and ‘The Essence of Montessori Education: How to Trickle the Young Minds’.

The workshop was conducted by resource persons Ripunjay Bordoloi from Assam Science Association, Pran Ballav Borah from Assam Mathematics Association, and Manisha Baishya and Kabita Hazarika from the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Biswanath. 

Attended by more than thirty teachers from Gyan Bharati Public School, Sootea, Gyan Bharati Central School, Tupia, and Biswanath Jnan Bharati, Biswanath, the workshop was lively and engaging. The resource persons, with their vast experience and use of various audio-visual presentations and practical training, enlightened the teachers on the intricacies of teaching science and mathematics to foster students’ interest in these subjects.

The educators from DIET, Sonitpur, and Biswanath explained refined techniques for training young minds, aligning with the NEP 2020 guidelines, which respect a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development. The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participating teachers.
