Excise raids in Margherita

MARGHERITA, Sept 10: An excise raid, search, and patrolling operation was conducted at Kujupathar by the inspector of Excise, Digboi, and the excise staff of Digboi and Margherita Excise Circle, with the assistance of armed personnel from Bordumsa Police Station. The team also carried out a naka checking duty on Bordumsa Road, during which a total of 30 vehicles were inspected.

During the raid, the excise team seized and destroyed the following items: 24 BL of beer (48 cans of Thunderbolt canned beer), 1.5 BL of IMFL (Intended for sale in Arunachal Pradesh only), and 880 litres of fermented wash.

Again, on Sunday evening, a joint search, patrolling, and raid was conducted by Margherita and Digboi excise staff at Rajkhowagaon, Dibong, and Ketetong Mini Bazaar under Margherita Police Station. 

During the raid, the excise team seized and destroyed the following items: 20 litres of fermented wash, 5 litres of illicit distilled liquor, and 3.9 BL of beer (For sale in Assam only).

On Monday evening, a joint armed excise search, patrolling, and raid was conducted by Margherita and Digboi excise staff at Toklong, with the assistance of armed police personnel provided by Ledo Outpost under Margherita Police Station. The excise team seized and destroyed the following items: 300 litres of fermented wash, 15 litres of illicit distilled liquor, and 1 DA set.
