The district commissioner highlighted the importance of strict enforcement of road safety measures, particularly focusing on preventing incidents of drunken driving and ensuring the mandatory use of helmets and seat belts. The installation of road safety signages at all Durga Puja pandals was also mandated, underscoring their necessity for public safety.

To address environmental concerns, a strict ban on playing music beyond 10:00 pm has been enforced, with formal notifications issued to all Puja committees to ensure compliance.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including ADC Jituraj Gogoi, additional SP Nabanita Sharma, district transport officer Dhajen Basumatary, as well as officials from the PWD Roads, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and the Kokrajhar Municipal Board.
