Addressing the people during the campaign, Sarma said that Sidli and nearby regions in BTR have seen sustained peace after years of violence due to the efforts made by the Triple Engine Govt in the state and region.

“The peace has prevailed in Bodoland Territorial Region and subsequently sustainable development and welfare initiatives have been initiated by the govt of BTR and govt of Assam,” said Sarma.

He believes that all five NDA alliance candidates contesting the upcoming assembly byelections are getting the last laugh from their respective contesting constituencies scheduled on November 13.

Sarma also said that the NDA alliance partners – BJP, UPPL, and AGP parties have been jointly working towards the welfare and developmental initiatives for the upliftment of the common people since they were voted to power.

“Today, people across the communities are coming forward to extend support to the UPPL candidate, backed by the NDA alliance, Nirmal Kumar Brahma in the Sidli LAC byelections,” said Sarma while adding, “People have faith in UPPL and NDA alliance, and accordingly NDA candidate’s winning is clear as a huge gathering is seen in Sidli LAC.”

CM stated that the government of Assam and the government of BTR have so far initiated and implemented various missions like Mission Vasundhara, and Mission Bwiswmuthi through which common people are benefitted across the region.

On being asked about the opposition’s remarks, Sarma answered that the Congress and other opposition parties are now becoming irrelevant to the citizens in the region in today’s juncture as common masses across the communities are coming forward to extend support to the NDA alliance candidates. He clarified that the opposition can only create chaos amongst the citizens, but can’t do any development and welfare of the people.

He firmly said that the UPPL and NDA alliance partners are united to render services for the well-being of society.
