Addressing reporters at a press conference held at the UPPL Central Office in Kokrajhar on Saturday, the party’s general secretary, Raju Kumar Narzary, expressed gratitude to the citizens of the Bodoland region for their continued cooperation and support in leading the alliance government in the BTR. He noted that the BTR government was formed on December 15, 2020, and has since been committed to delivering welfare services across the region. Narzary added that the fourth anniversary of the government is being celebrated in a grand manner, commencing on Sunday.

“The fourth anniversary of the UPPL-led BTR government marks a significant milestone for the region, where people from all communities are experiencing healthier lives with dignity and integrity,” Narzary stated.

He highlighted that the Bodoland region has progressed towards becoming a peaceful, smart, and green Bodoland under the leadership of the UPPL-led alliance government, which has introduced numerous welfare initiatives fostering integration among citizens. He added that the BTR has witnessed significant strides in sustainable development across various sectors of society since the formation of the government.

He stated that several missions and visions have been launched in the BTR under the leadership of Pramod Boro, the chief executive member (CEM) of the Bodoland Territorial Region, receiving widespread appreciation from citizens. Among these initiatives is Mission Bwiswmuthi, a flagship program aimed at addressing land-related services for the public. Additionally, schemes like Mainao Swrang Bithangkhi, Giyan Swrang Bithangkhi, Onsungthai Bithangkhi, and Alari Swrang Bithangkhi have been implemented to support needy individuals and SHGs across the region. These flagship programs have ushered in significant social development, driving the mission of better governance and transformative change in the region.

He emphasised that the UPPL party remains steadfast in its commitment to serving humanity and working towards the holistic development of the people. He stated that under the banner of the NDA alliance, the UPPL has been actively contributing to the welfare of society through its efforts in the BTR government, as well as at the state and central levels.

He stated that the Opposition BPF party has become irrelevant among the common people, alleging that it failed to address the problems and grievances of citizens during its 17-year rule in the Bodoland Territorial Region. He claimed that the UPPL party’s popularity is rising significantly, with people from across communities increasingly coming forward to join the ruling party.
