KOKRAJHAR, June 22: A district-level review meeting of the District-Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for the Mukhya Mantri “Eti Koli Duti Paat” Asoni scheme was held on Sunday at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s Office in Kokrajhar.
The meeting assessed the progress and implementation of the scheme, which provides one-time financial assistance to tea garden workers and employees.
According to an official statement, the meeting was chaired by Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Guardian Minister of Kokrajhar, who underscored the importance of inclusive and transparent execution.
He urged officials to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out during the implementation process.
MLA of 30-Kokrajhar East (ST) LAC, Jiron Basumatary, also attended the meeting and reviewed the ongoing beneficiary verification efforts.
He stressed the need for diligence at the field level to ensure accuracy and fairness.
District Commissioner Masanda M Pertin highlighted the need for meticulous documentation and strong inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely and efficient delivery of the scheme’s benefits.
She directed stakeholders to prioritise accurate form fill-up and error-free documentation to avoid delays in benefit disbursal.
The DC also instructed the concerned Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) to expedite the distribution of application forms to tea garden managements, facilitating the timely enrolment of beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by ADCs Wadiul Islam and Subhram Aditya Bora, Lead District Manager of UCO Bank, representatives of tea garden communities, and other departmental officials.
The gathering concluded with a collective resolve to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the scheme for the welfare of tea garden workers across the district.
