JAGIROAD, June 26: Jagiroad College in Morigaon district has secured the second position in the state in the Science stream, according to the India Today Best College Ranking Survey 2025 announced on June 24.
Digboi College claimed the top position in the Science category in Assam.

The Arts stream of Jagiroad College was ranked seventh among Arts colleges in the state.
Nationally, the college’s Science and Arts streams were placed at 138th and 162nd positions respectively.
This marks the seventh consecutive year that Jagiroad College has participated in the prestigious national ranking survey, where Hindu College has retained the top spot in both Arts and Science streams across India.
Jagiroad College was awarded an A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2023 and was granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on June 9 this year.
The college has maintained a commendable record in academics, cultural activities, sports, and co-curricular areas including yoga, NCC, NSS, and martial arts.
It currently runs four academic streams and has well-developed infrastructure.
Principal Dr Bhaben Chandra Neog expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and well-wishers of the greater Jagiroad area for their continued support.
