Assam gears up for statewide development initiatives

DIPHU, Sept 13: Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, addressed all districts of the state via video conferencing ahead of a series of government programmes scheduled from September 17 to 25, 2025.

The weeklong initiative will commence on September 17 with the ceremonial launch of the Voluntary Blood Donation Drive. Other major activities include the upgrade of Orunodoi 2.0 to Orunodoi 3.0, a Mega Health Camp for Children, a Plantation Drive, and the felicitation of 1,000 young writers, Ni-kshay Mitra Assistance for TB patients, and the distribution of land pattas to religious institutions.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister reviewed the preparedness for each programme and urged all district administrations to work in close coordination with relevant departments. He emphasized that people’s participation is key to the success of these initiatives and called for dedicated efforts to ensure that the benefits reach the grassroots level.

The Karbi Anglong district administration has confirmed its readiness for the upcoming programmes. Necessary arrangements have been made, and concerned departments are working together to ensure the smooth execution of the government’s initiatives in the district.
