KOKRAJHAR, Nov 7: NTPC Bongaigaon Salakati in Kokrajhar district celebrated the 48th Raising Day of NTPC with zeal and enthusiasm at its administrative building premises and addressed the assembled employees on Monday.
Karunakar Das, CGM, NTPC unfurled the NTPC flag followed by NTPC Geet. A cake cutting ceremony was done and balloons were flown by Karunakar Das in the presence of Umesh Singh, GM (O&M), Sanjay Pande, GM(FGD), Sanjay Kumar Jha, GM (FM), Arunashis Das, GM (Projects), Induri S Reddy, GM (Maintenance), G.M. Thangzom, DC, CISF, Vidya Jha, vice president, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, departmental heads, colleagues and employees from various departments, unions and associations and Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club members to mark the occasion.
Tracing the growth and glorious legacy of NTPC, Kumar recalls the contributions of the employees towards making the organisation great. Kumar appreciated the fact that NTPC Bongaigaon generated 3145 Mus at 81.65% PLF up to Oct-22. The station achieved its highest ever monthly generation of 495.3 MU in the month of April’ 2022. In the area of ash utilisation, the station achieved its highest ever daily ash utilisation of 2484 MT on September 12, 2022 and highest ever monthly ash utilisation of 55,814 MT in September 2022. He outlined the initiatives taken in NTPC Bongaigaon on the O&M, environment, ash utilisation and Covid-19 management front and thanked all union associations, welfare bodies and Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, CISF, district and state administration for their constant support and feedback.
During the program, Safety Zone Award was presented on the occasion where departments like Chemistry, C&I Maintenance, Chemistry, FM, EMD, IT, BMD, Operation department along with the employees were awarded and felicitated for best practices of safety at work place.
Four employees were conferred with Power Excel Award – Prakash Sutradhar, senior manager (FM), Jithin S, senior manager, (MM), Hiranmoy Mishra, senior manager (Chemistry), Anand Upadda, deputy manager (Operations) for their valuable contribution to the station. Biplab Das, senior manager (Operations) was awarded the Manviyita Puraskar for exemplary display of core values.
As a part of the celebrations, NTPC Traveller Services (Station duty services) have also been inaugurated by Das in the presence of senior management of the station and representatives of union and association.
A labour help desk center was inaugurated on the occasion. On the occasion, a friendly cricket match was also held between the CISF and NTPC employees and between the ladies of NTPC and CISF. NTPC emerged victorious in the matches.
It is pertinent to mention that India’s largest power producer, which commenced its purposeful journey on November 7, 1975 and has made a stellar contribution in lighting every nook and corner of the country, is fully geared to steer the next phase of growth and transformation in India’s power sector that offers immense opportunities. NTPC has been the flag bearer for the power sector in the country in the last 47 years. NTPC has announced its Energy Compact Goals with commitment to install 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
