Bihu Screening Camp Held In Biswanath

Biswanath Chariali, March 13: Biswanath civil administration organised a selection process for Bihu dancers and Dhuliya’s on Sunday.

The state government has decided to make a world record of Bihu dance on April 14. In this connection, selection process for Bihu dancers and Dhuliya’s is going on throughout Assam.

The first round of screening test for Bihu dancers, dhuliya’s and other instrumentalists were held in Sootea, Biswanath, Bedeti, Gohpur till late evening. The screening camps were attended and monitored by Jay Shivani, SDO (civil), Liza Talukdar, ADC, Utpal Bora, MLA Gohpur, Puja Punam Gogoi, SDO (civil), Gohpur besides other dignitaries. The second round of screening camp will be held on March 16 at Kachari Maidan here from 2.30 pm onwards, stated a press release.
