Guwahati Jr Open Tennis Tourney: Aarav Kandoi , Sayyam Agarwal Reach Final

GUWAHATI, March 22: Aarav Kandoi and Sayyam Agarwal has reached finals in the Boy’s/Girl’s (Combined)- under 10 categories in the sixth edition of the Guwahati Open Junior Tennis Championship – 2023, a flagship tournament of the state, organised by the Guwahati Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA) at the RG Baruah Sports Complex, Nehru Stadium played here on Thursday.

All the seeded players are sailing towards semi-final stages in their respective categories. The tournament is being held for both Boy’s and Girl’s Singles Under – 12, 14, 18 years0 and Boy’s / Girl’s (combined) – Under 10 years respectively. The championship is carrying a total of Rs. 2.10 lakhs as scholarship.  Till the final of the report the quarter final matches of Boy’s and Girl’s Singles (under 12 years) and Boy’s Singles (under 18 years) are under way.

Thursday’S results:  Boy’s / Girl’s Singles (Combined) – Under 10 years – (Semi-Final) – Aarav Kandoi bt. Sandipan Kalita 4-0, 4-1, Sayyam Agarwal bt. Aryan Kundalia 4-0, 4-1, Boy’s Singles – Under 14 years – (Quarter Final)- Parthiv Kalita bt.Aditya Kaman 6-3, 6-3, Chandra Sekhar Mohanty bt. Naman Bora 6-0, 1-6, 10-6, Samvid Bora bt. Arnav Bhuyan 6-2, 6-2, Ritik Rout bt. Enrich Pator 6-2, 6-3, Girl’s Singles – Under 14 years – (Quarter Final)- Nayeem Hussain bt. Prapti Baruah 4-0, 4-1, Soni Prajapati bt. Suzanne Lourembam 4-0, 4-0, Naodita Sukla bt. Angelica Hazarika 4-0, 4-0, Sernya La bt. Utpalakshee Saikia 4-1, 4-1 Girl’s Singles – Under 18 years – (Quarter Final)- Anshita Sukla bt. Naobita Sukla 8-3, Nayeem Hussain bt. Prapti Baruah 8-2, Namrata Das bt. Praktiksha Kashyap 8-0, Bishnupriya Borgohain bt. Soni Prajapati 8-1.
