ITANAGAR, Oct 8: The Arunachal Publishers and Broadcasters Guild (APBG) and the Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association (AEDMA) have jointly expressed their profound appreciation to the State Government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Minister for Information and Public Relations (IPR) Nyato Dukam, Secretary IPR, and the entire IPR Department team for formulating and adopting the landmark “Arunachal Pradesh Print & Digital Media Advertisement Policy, 2025.”
The two media bodies lauded the government’s visionary step to enhance advertisement rates for print media and introduce a new policy framework for digital media — a decision that addresses the long-pending demands submitted by APBG and AEDMA through several memoranda. They said the move reflects the government’s commitment to supporting and sustaining the media ecosystem in the State.
The newly approved policy replaces the 2018 and 2020 advertisement policies, introducing a unified, transparent, and efficient framework for disseminating government advertisements.
Under the revised system, all official advertisements will be routed through the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) to ensure uniformity, transparency, and accountability.
Welcoming the policy, both APBG and AEDMA noted that the initiative would empower local media houses by prioritizing state-based organisations, ensuring fiscal prudence through fixed advertisement rates, and improving fund utilisation. They further stated that the government’s proactive engagement with the media fraternity and its responsiveness to their concerns mark a significant milestone in strengthening government–media collaboration in Arunachal Pradesh.
