The matter had come to light only when the guardians of the missing children accompanied by Dhansiri member of autonomous council (MAC), Tiluttoma Hasnu shared about the incidents with the media.

The missing children are five year old Dinesh Gour, son of late Rajkumar Gour, Opho Hasnu, son of Bishnu Hasnu and Rahul Munda. Both Hasnu and Munda are from Dikhangsi village in Dhansiri. The children went missing from the house of Gopal Kumal of Nawgaon Basti in Dhansiri. Gopal’s wife reportedly provided free tutoring classes to children of the area.

An FIR was lodged at the Dhansiri police outpost the following day.

MAC Hasnu said that the guardians of the missing children informed her on September 16 about their children going missing and to assist them in filing an FIR at the local Dhansiri police outpost.

According to the guardians, the children had gone missing from the house of Gopal Kumal.

“Despite searching for the past 10 days, the children have not been found. I along with local women visited the house of Kumal, where the missing children were staying. Children are not safe in their house,” Hansu said.

However, Kumal’s wife said all the children were asleep in her house till 9 pm. She had even lit mosquito repellent coils in the room where they had been sleeping. It was the next morning that they learned that the three kids had gone missing. They searched the whole locality, but could not find them

One of the parents of the three missing children lamented, “I was intimated about the disappearance of my child on the evening of September 16. I have been trying in vain to locate him.”
