31st Bn SSB Gossaigaon celebrates 20th Raising Day

GOSSAIGAON, Nov 12: The 31st Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal Gossaigaon on Monday celebrated its 20th Raising Day at the Battalion headquarters with pomp and gaiety, marked by various activities fostering camaraderie, joy, and a sense of community among the members and their families.

The program commenced with the unit performing religious rituals with the blessings of four Dharam gurus, praying for peace, prosperity, and tranquility among the soldiers and people of the surrounding community. Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, commandant, 31 Bn SSB Gossaigaon, extended his warm wishes to all personnel and their families.

The presence of distinguished guests, including Dr E Chouba Singh, commandant (Vet), 6 Bn SSB Ranigul, Dr Sumya Halder, CMO, 6 Bn SSB Raniguli, GM Thang Zem, CO, CISF, NTPC Salakati Kokrajhar, Mridul Shivhare, IAS, SDO Gossaigaon, Ananda Basumatary, president, UPPL Gossaigaon, Dr Sunil Kumar Paul, chief scientist, KVK Gossaigaon, Bhanu Singh, DFO Gossaigaon, and media persons from Gossaigaon Press Club, including Mohd Hafizul Islam, added to the significance of the event, making the 20th Raising Day celebration a memorable and cherished occasion.
