KOKRAJHAR, Jan 29: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) met vice chancellor of the Bodoland University on Wednesday at the office of the university, and urged the university authority to solve issues regarding various academic and administrative developmental aspects of the university.
A six member delegation team of the students union, led by it’s president Dipen Boro, and discussed at length on the welfare and development initiatives for solving academic and administrative concerns and to enhance the institution’s overall development.
The students union demanded initiatives for recruitment of teaching faculty and staff for filling up of 34 vacant teaching positions, including professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and other official staff, and recruitment of 59 non-teaching staff to strengthen administrative operations.
Establishment of Udalguri Campus and starting of academic session at the earliest were also demanded.
“Today, we had a crucial discussion with the vice-chancellor of Bodoland University regarding various academic and administrative concerns to enhance the institution’s overall development. The discussions aimed at addressing these critical issues to enhance the academic and administrative efficiency of Bodoland University”, Boro added.
