AJYCP Memorandum Against Proposed High Municipality Taxes

NAGAON, March 15: The district body of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad today submitted a memorandum to Dimple Boruah, additional deputy commissioner, Nagaon district housing and urban affairs against the proposed high rate municipality taxes and also demanded to scrape the move initiated by the state government at any cost as it is creating panic among the city dwellers.

In a press note, the president and in-charge secretary of the district unit of the organisation – Pragjyotish Bonia and Parthapratim Bairagi respectively stated that the major portion of the people living in the small town are middle and lower middle class and the proposed additional taxation on them will apparently ruin their day to day life.

The people in the small town are still struggling with financial devastation caused by consecutive waves of COVID 19 during last couple of years amidst such financial devastation, the proposed additional taxation on them will create additional in the days to come.
