DIBRUGARH, June 22: In a shocking turn of events, armed thieves executed a series of attempted thefts at four car dealerships in Dibrugarh.
According to the police, a group of three thieves, armed and with their faces covered, targeted RD Automobiles (Mahindra dealer), Subhangshu Motors (Tata Motors), Kia Motors, and Borah Toyota in Dibrugarh.
These incidents occurred during the night of Tuesday (from midnight to the morning of Wednesday).
The thieves forcibly gained entry by breaking window locks using their weapons and reportedly managed to break open cupboard locks inside the premises.
The police have swiftly collected CCTV footage and initiated an investigation, as the incidents were captured on the surveillance cameras.
“We have gathered all the CCTV footage. Although the thieves entered the car dealerships with the intention to loot cash, they were unable to find any,” stated a police official.
