Assam Governor Kataria extends Id-ul-Zuha greetings

GUWAHATI, June 16: Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the holy festival of Islam, Id-ul-Zuha.

Governor Kataria said, “I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to the Muslim brethren of the state on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha, the feast of sacrifice. I also appeal to the people to rekindle the sense of sacrifice, empathy, and gratitude towards one another and work towards strengthening the bond of universal brotherhood.”

He further emphasised that the celebrations of Id-ul-Zuha are characterised by prayer, charity, and sharing joy with family and friends. May this holy day reinforce the longstanding tradition of harmony and communal amity, while strengthening the bonds of friendship that exist.
