Assam: Heroin Worth Rs 1.5 Cr Seized

DILLAI, June 26: Dillai police has seized 184.29 grams of heroin from a person identified as Barul Islam. He was coming from Dimapur in a Swift car (AS01-EL 8839) and was intercepted around 6:30 pm on Sunday at Dillai. The consignment was to be delivered at Nagaon.

The market value of the seized contraband is estimated to be around Rs 1.5 crore in the black market. The Naka checking was conducted in presence of SDPO of Bokajan, Johan Das and OC of Dillai police station, Lutfur Rahman. Home Guard Maising Tokbi was rewarded with Rs 5,000 for his role in the drugs recovery by OC Rahman.
