Biswanath Chariali, Nov 10: Lokra Battalion under the aegis of Headquarter 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Headquarter inspector general Assam Rifles (East) organised awareness lecture on World Science Day for Peace and Development Declamation for students at Assam Rifles High School located in Lokra on Thursday, stated a press release.
The students were briefed about World Science Day for Peace and Development as it highlights the significant role of science in society and the need to engage the wider public in debates on emerging scientific issues and also about the importance and relevance of science in our daily lives.
The programme offered the opportunity to impart knowledge to all students about the topic of Science for peace and development. The programme was attended by the teachers and students of Assam Rifles High School, Lokra with full zeal and enthusiasm.
