BISWANATH CHARIALI, Aug 18: The Assam Rifles Battalion, operating under the auspices of HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), orchestrated a ‘Practicing Yoga with Locals’ program in Lokra, Sonitpur (Assam) on Thursday, as revealed in an official press release.
The central focus of this initiative was to engage in and propagate various forms of yoga asanas, integrating the essence of yoga into daily routines. Participants exhibited fervent enthusiasm during the session, earnestly striving to master precise yoga positions and asanas. Beyond the yoga sessions, the event encompassed meaningful interactions between civilian individuals, active-duty personnel, and fruitful discussions on meditation, relaxation techniques, and the significance of leading a wholesome lifestyle.
The attendees had the opportunity to delve into the techniques and advantages of diverse yoga asanas, which garnered significant appreciation from both the local community and the battalion’s force personnel. The event successfully brought together a total of 76 participants, comprising 39 unit personnel and 37 local residents, all of whom engaged with immense zeal and enthusiasm.
