BISWANATH CHARIALI, Nov 18: Assam Rifles organized a lecture on ‘Rain Water Harvesting’ at Charduar Hall, Battalion Headquarters, Lokra, in Sonitpur district. The event aimed to educate people on the significance of collecting and storing rainwater for various purposes, including reducing water scarcity, conserving water resources, and promoting sustainable practices for a greener environment.

 

The lecture covered different techniques, benefits, and implementation strategies for rainwater harvesting systems.

The initiative by Assam Rifles received high appreciation from local youths and villagers. Thirty-five villagers from Lokra attended the event with enthusiasm, gaining valuable insights into the importance of rainwater harvesting.
