MARGHERITA, April 27: The District Legal Services Authority, Tinsukia in collaboration with the Legal Awareness Network Centre on Saturday organised awareness meeting on road safety and drunken driving at the Gandhi Vidya Mandir High School in Margherita.
The meeting was attended by senior advocates of Margherita, Shiv Kumar Agarwal, Rajat Paul, Bhavana Agarwal, Gandhi Vidya Mandir High School’s headmaster Anil Kumar Singh, retired professor of the Margherita College Chura Giri, Margherita Children Friends Club’s president Papu Sah and retired teacher and president of SMDC Margherita GVM High school Shailesh Sutradhar. The students of the Gandhi Vidya Mandir high school who have passed their HSLC exams this year also attended the awareness programme.
Senior advocate of Margherita Shiv Kumar Agarwal said, “The government accords great importance to road safety. If anyone violates the rules then a heavy fine will be imposed on them. Everyone should follow the safety rules on the roads.”
In this meeting Children Friends Club felicitated 15 students of the Gandhi Vidya Mandir High School with certificates and prizes for qualifying in the 2024 HSLC examination.
