BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 26: Biswanath College marked the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Thursday with a pledge-taking ceremony aimed at raising awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
Students, teachers, and staff assembled on the college premises to take a collective pledge to lead a drug-free life and actively participate in combating substance abuse.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the college principal, who highlighted the urgent need to educate young minds on the consequences of drug use and the importance of making informed life choices.
The observance was held in alignment with the United Nations’ global campaign to promote action and cooperation towards a world free of drug abuse.
