Biswanath observes Shok Divas

Biswanath Chariali, Aug 16: As in previous years, August 16 was solemnly observed as Shok Divas across the state, commemorating the individuals who tragically lost their lives in a bomb blast at Dhemaji Parade Ground on August 15, 2004. The Biswanath administration was no exception to this observance. At 11 am, the national flag was lowered, and a moment of silence was observed to honour the memory of the departed. All employees of the Biswanath sub-division, including Dr Neha Jadav, SDO civil cum additional commissioner of Biswanath sub-division, Dhrubajyoti Das, ADC, Pratisha Dutta, election officer, Pushpankar Patir, assistant commissioner, Abhijit Kumar Nath, deputy registrar, Munindra Sarma, assistant planning officer, Girish Hazarika, administrative officer, and others, recited the pledge.
