BISWANATH CHARIALI, July 29: The district level capacity building workshop on managing Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) during emergencies was organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Biswanath, on Monday at the SIPRD, Biswanath. The workshop saw participation from the DSWO, Biswanath; joint DHS, Biswanath; all CDPOs; BEEOs; district and block coordinators of Poshan Abhijaan; DPM; BPM (NHM); and field officers of Disaster Management, as stated in a press release.
The program was inaugurated by Hridoy Kumar Das, ACS, CEO of DDMA. The objectives and specific deliverables were explained by Bhargab Baruah, DPO of DDMA. The workshop covered subjects such as understanding humanitarian crises, introduction to child-friendly spaces and their guidelines, psychosocial response, age-appropriate learning continuity, CFS kits, and the roles of different departments in managing CFS. The CFS kit, which will be distributed to the model relief camps, was displayed, and the uses of the items were also explained.
