BJP organises training program in West Karbi Anglong

DONGKAMUKAM, Aug 30: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), West Karbi Anglong District Committee, conducted a ‘Voters Chetona Abhijan’ training program at the Dongkamukam Waisong Stadium in West Karbi Anglong. The event aimed to raise awareness among voters and strengthen the party in preparation for the upcoming Parliamentary elections in 2024.

Rupsing Teron, the MLA of Baithalangso, graced the event as the chief guest. In his address, he stressed the importance of engaging with newly recruited young voters. He urged party members to educate them about the voting process, particularly since they will be casting their votes for the first time. Teron also called upon booth committee leaders to inform both old and new voters about the development initiatives undertaken by the BJP government.

Prabhat Ch Taro, executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), and Richardson Hanse, general secretary of BJP WKADC, also shared their insights with party workers. During the meeting, Krishna Sharma was appointed as the Booth Level Agent (BLA) for the newly created Amri MLA constituency.

The event was attended by prominent party figures, including Radip Ronghang, president of BJP WKADC, Birsing Hanse, vice president, D Uphing Maslai, EM of KAAC, Arun Terang, vice chairman of Assam Hills Small Industry Development Corporation Limited, Ditolal Hasnu, chairman of Veterinary Development Board, and several other leaders. The ‘Voters Chetona Abhijan’ training program highlighted the party’s commitment to voter awareness and political engagement in the region.
