MANGALDAI, Aug 14: Crystal Vision, a local NGO, organised its 13th annual voluntary blood donation camp here on Thursday to honour the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters.
The event was held with technical support from the Mangaldai Blood Centre and sponsored by North East Nutrients Pvt Ltd (NENPL), Ramhari.
The day-long camp took place at two locations — Mangaldai town and Ramhari village — using the specially equipped blood collection mobile van of Mangaldai Civil Hospital.
A total of 30 donors, including NGO members, NENPL staff, government officials, elected representatives and young women, participated in the initiative.
The camp at the Mangaldai Blood Centre was inaugurated by Dr Ramesh Chandra Goswami, Sub-Divisional Medical and Health Officer, Darrang, in the presence of Mangaldai Municipal Board Chairperson Nirmali Devi Sarma, Executive Officer Kallol Deka, Medical Officer Dr Atova Goswami, elected member Subrata Das and other dignitaries.
