Bodo Dance exponent Barlangfa Narzary named for Assam Gaurav Award 2024

KOKRAJHAR, March 11: Imminent Bodo dance exponent who is also the director of the Ramfalbil Bodoland Cultural Centre, Barlangfa Narzary, has been selected for the prestigious Assam Gaurav Award 2024.

The Assam Gaurav Award is one of the highest civilian honors in the state, recognising individuals for their outstanding contributions in various fields.

Barlangfa Narzary’s dedication to promoting and preserving Bodo traditional dance has played a pivotal role in nurturing local talent and showcasing Bodo culture on wider platforms. His efforts have significantly contributed to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Bodo community.

Narzary hailed from Ramfalbil area of Kokrajhar district,and has been dedicating his life towards the promotion of the Bodo culture.

He has been representing the Bodo cultural troupes while showcasing Bodo Bagurumba Dance in the national arena on many national occasion and events.

On the achievement of Narzary, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro wished heartfelt greetings.

He said that the traditional Bodo dance especially Bagurumba dance has arrived in today’s juncture under the leadership of Narzary who had represented the Bagurumba dance in the national arena.

ABSU president Dipen Boro also extended his heartfelt congratulations to Barlangfa Narzary on being conferred the Assam Gaurav Award.
