Cluster-level teachers’ orientation on FLN empowers educators in Margherita

MARGHERITA, Sept 12: On Tuesday, a one-day cluster-level teachers’ orientation on Functional Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) was conducted at A’R&T Co School in Margherita. The event saw active participation from teachers representing Margherita CRCC, Bargolai CRCC, and Hamukjaan CRCC. The program aimed to enhance teachers’ skills and efficiency in conducting their classes.

Dipak Borgohain, the district programme officer for teacher training, Suraj Bhuyan, the district consultant for FLN, Chintu Baruah, and Latumomi Gogoi, both block resource persons (BRPs), served as resource persons during the orientation.

Niranjan Saikia, CRCC of Hamukjaan, Rupali Acharjee, CRCC of Margherita, Amit Dey, CRCC of Bargolai, along with more than 80 teachers from these three different CRCCs, actively participated in the orientation program.

Niranjan Saikia highlighted the primary objective of organising the orientation program, which is to provide teachers with the necessary training to conduct their classes effectively and efficiently. The event also provided an opportunity for a detailed discussion on the development achieved through the Basic Education Literacy Mission in schools under Margherita CRCC, Bargolai CRCC, and Hamukjaan CRCC. Teachers shared their experiences and activities with the resource persons, contributing to the overall success of the event.
