The chief minister also announced 50,000 jobs for jobless people. He also said that Aadhar cards would be provided to the beneficiaries within six months along with free ration cards, Ayushman cards, and Arunadoy scheme.  Apart from this, free admission will be made available for girl students of the state.

With the third phase of the Lok Sabha polls scheduled to take place on May 7, different political parties like the BJP, GSP, TMC, AUIDF, and BPF candidates have intensified their campaigsn to woo all sections of voters.

Besides the parties are gearing up their activities in this seat in order to draw the attention of the voters by holding meetings and constituting grassroots-level committees.

As part of the primary-level pre-poll party canvas, the UPPL is seen adopting various organisational activities to woo the voters here to win the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat.

Addressing the gathering CM Sarma said, “Earlier bombing, gunpowder, killing of innocent people, and violence were routine events in BTC, the general people were scared to come to Kokrajhar and there was no guarantee of where bombs would explode and who would be kidnapped. The UPA government at the Centre and the BTC council government in Bodoland managed to get rid of such an anarchic situation here.”

CM Dr. Sarma avowed that Hangrama Mahilary during his reign threatened the people and created an unstable atmosphere in the Bodoland region by running misrule in the name of governance in the BTC. But soon after the formation of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre in 2014 and the BJP-led government in the state, the overall situation in Bodoland came under control.

‘With the end of Hangrama’s rule in 2020 the fear has been removed from the minds of the people. Now an atmosphere of harmony presides between different communities, who were once suffering from factional clashes.

He again said that an atmosphere of peace has been created for all the Bodos, Muslims, and Adivasis to continue with their activities till midnight. With the foresight of the renowned Prime Minister and the BJP’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas’ policy and good governance of the BTC government, this instability has been removed and the trend of peace and development continues.

The Vijay Sankalp Rally was largely attended by Sajal Kumar Singha, MCLA, Ranjit Kumar Das, state minister of food, civil supplies and consumer affairs, cabinet minister Ashok Singhal, BTC CEM Promod Boro, Kokrajhar Lok Sabha candidate Jayanta Basumatary, MLA Gossaigaon Jiran Basumatary, EM, Wilson Hasda and many others.
