MORIGAON, July 11: Hemant Kumar Nath, the secretary of Charaibahi Cooperative Society Limited (CCSL), has been suspended following allegations of stealing rice provided by the Assam government. The suspension was imposed by the Food & Civil Supply department, Morigaon, in accordance with the order issued by the deputy commissioner of Morigaon.

The suspension of the accused secretary, Hemant Kumar Nath, comes after a comprehensive investigation conducted by the department. The action was taken based on a complaint lodged by the public regarding the alleged theft of rice from the society.
The Food & Civil Supply department has implemented the suspension through Order No MSA/16/2923.
